Happy Friday, traders and investors,
Closing out the week with a name that’s been the heavyweight champ of tech momentum for years now — NVIDIA (NVDA). Everyone knows it, everyone watches it, and whenever it starts flashing signals on the chart, you better believe it’s worth paying attention. Lately, NVDA has been working through a messy pullback, but I’m starting to see signs of stabilization, and that’s why it’s on deck for today’s breakdown.

📰 The Story Behind NVDA

NVIDIA is never short on headlines — between AI, chips, and market sentiment, it’s constantly in the spotlight. This week, online chatter has been split: bulls are pounding the table saying the recent dip is just another buy-the-pullback moment, while skeptics think the stock’s momentum run has cooled off. What I’m noticing, though, is the underlying support — every time NVDA dips toward that $170 zone, buyers seem to quietly step back in. The hype is still alive, but the tape is showing me that institutions are still defending their turf here.

📊 Technical Breakdown

Price Action & Moving Averages

NVDA closed Thursday at $176.24, up strong on the day with a +3.49% pop. Right now:

  • 10-day SMA: $173.76

  • 50-day SMA: $175.30

  • 200-day SMA: $140.71

Here’s what jumps out at me: price just reclaimed both the 10-day and the 50-day in one shot. That’s a power move — when a stock takes back short and medium-term averages on a strong green day, that’s bulls flexing. Candlesticks are showing a rebound attempt after a few sloppy weeks of chop. The pattern? More of a “bounce off support” than a clean breakout, but I like the shift in tone.

RSI & MACD

  • RSI = 52 → Dead center, neutral. That’s actually a good thing — NVDA has room to run without worrying about overheating.

  • MACD → Flatlining near zero, but starting to curl. That tells me momentum is trying to shift positive. If we get follow-through buying, that MACD crossover can confirm the move.
